Expert opinion on the appropriateness of executive compensation (managing director/board of directors)

Volunteering does not necessarily mean working for free. Accordingly, medium-sized and larger non-profit organizations often employ full-time board members or managing directors who receive remuneration. However, this remuneration must not be disproportionately high, otherwise there is a so-called misuse of funds, which can lead to the withdrawal of the non-profit status.

How we help you

We check at an early stage and on a regular basis whether the so-called "executive compensation" is appropriate and draw up an expert opinion that assesses your specific employment contract and the compensation components contained therein individually, comprehensively and appropriately. In doing so, we take into account current case law, salary structure studies and the special features of your tax-privileged institution. You can present the result both in the context of a tax audit and in your own salary negotiations in order to demonstrate an appropriate remuneration for your position.

We will also provide you with legally secure and competent support in exceptional circumstances such as multiple employment.
